GIAB SUMMARY

GIAB, a private investment company owned by Mats Gabrielsson, invests in companies to which it can contribute experience and management skills in combination with financial strenght. GIAB's business concept is to invest in companies with a sound core business. By injecting management and financial resources, GIAB develops and adds value to its investments. GIAB's business model is based on influential and active longterm ownership combined with close co-operation with existing management. GIAB's holdings are divided into four sectors: Property, Industry & Trade, Services and Entreprenaurship. The latter business area was introduced during 2009.

Property - large holdings in Estonia

Most of the comapny's holdings are in the property sector. In 2007 GIAB, in association with a partner, aquired a large block of centrally located property in Narva on the Estonian border with Russia. Narva is an important gateway into Russia and is located only 150 km from S:t Peterburg. The intention is to establish a new centre with hotels, entertainment, new apartments and a modern industrial estate. In the Estonian capital of Tallinn, the development of centrally located property has continued, including the planning of new homes and office premises. In Sweden, GIAB and its subsidiaries own properties in the Stockholm region, Norrköping and in the south of the country. In 2009 the subsidiary Bofast AB, wich focuses its activities in counties of Halland and Småland, posted its best financial result since being acquired by GIAB.

Industry & Trade - focus on energy and clean - tech

Key holdings in the Industry & Trade sector include Opcon, a listed clean-tech company. Opcon has a long history as an industrial innovator in Sweden. The company's most important business area, and one that is expanding strongly, develops systems to improve the efficient use of energy. This includes the production of electricity from surplus heat, natural gas handling systems, ignition systems for engines that run on alternative types of energy, and air injection systems for fuel cells. Population growth will lead to a dramatic expansion in the demand for energy at a time when the climate challenge means that politicians will introduce systems to regulate energy production. The EU, for example, has set a target that 20 % of total energy production shall be renewable by as early as 2020. This will result in higher energy prices. All in all, this makes companies active in energy production and energy efficiency particularly interesting for investors. Other investments in this sector are Borås Wäfveri, a listed textile company, and TPC Components AB.

Services - includes one of Sweden´s largest dental clinics

Key companies in the Services sector include Rapid and City Dental. Rapid is a security company selling patrolling guard services and alarms in an expanding market. City Dental is a dental clinic that, thanks to efficient use of its technical and human resourses, provides treatment at prices considerably lower than the public dental service. City Dental has quickly become one of Sweden's largest dental clinics.

Entrepreneurship

During 2009, Mats Gabrielsson, the company's owner, took part in the Swedish TV program Draknästet, (Dragons' Den). The origin of this new business area are the investments made during the recording of this program. Entrepreneurship currently has four new entrepreneur-led companies, all of wich were added during 2009.
